Scarred, jet setting fruit

Ombréd spotted, and oblong

Fragrant, sweet delight

Author’s Notes: I love mangos. They’re so colorful, fragrant, and tropical! They really wear their hearts on their sleeves — they show you their journey to get to you by never hiding their bruises and scars. As they age, their skin changes from green to vibrant orange, yellow, and red. Perhaps having learned that they don’t have to be just one thing. In the end, mangos tell it how it is. They yell at your noses when they are ready to eat. Here’s to mangos!
